Raleigh won’t be getting David Sedaris live anytime soon, like Durham will be in April, so we’ll just have to live with his Santaland Diaries, performed on stage at the Theatre in the Park for one weekend only.

If you haven’t read Holidays on Ice, by local comedian/writer David Sedaris, pick a copy for you and you’ll be able to zoom through it in a day or two. The Santaland Diaries, which is a collection of stories about the days Sedaris worked as an elf in the NYC Macy’s store, is the main attraction of the book. It also makes a fabulous holiday gift, on ice.

This was a great show and well worth the money. I highly recommend everyone catch it before it’s gone.
