A year after the week long festival of shows at Asheville’s Orange Peel and a massive show in Greensboro, Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins will stop into North Carolina once again, this time at Memorial Auditorium in Downtown Raleigh on Sunday August 17th.
The images and set lists from all of the reunion shows were amazing and I’m sure that the Raleigh show will be no less than spectacular. Let’s hope all the ticketmaster debacle that happened when everyone was on the phone trying to buy tickets at 10am on a Saturday morning doesn’t occur. Their site failed and they had to postpone the ticket sales until the week afterwards. I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t able to get tickets and few that I knew did…..The End is the Beginning is the End…...
Deja-vu, tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10am on the Ticketmaster monster and will be between $36-$46.

I seriously doubt it Leo, although I have seen shows there where people leave their “assigned” seats and converged at the front….I’m sure this will happen, but you’ll still want to grab tickets early to have a “good assign seat”
the Pumpkins have been my favorite band since I was 12. I cant wait to see them again. I hope this show is better then their Greensboro show this winter.
I guess I have to worry about tickets first though, huh?!
I saw them in Asheville for one of their dates at the Orange Peel. Truly phenomenal experience. Best part was when Billy’s amp completely screwed up (though it sounded glorious to everyone else), he just stood on stage and bantered the crowd of 800 people as they repaired it. Should be a great show.
Is it really the Smashing Pumpkins without James Iha and D’Arcy? Isn’t this merely Zwan 2.0?
Zwan was better then Smashing Pumpkins-well at least Matt Sweeney and David Pajo were.
