Sound Opinions Interviews Superchunk, Merge Records

Sound Opinions (the self-professed world’s only Rock ‘n Roll talk show) interviewed Merge Records (the world’s largest/best independent record label) founders Mac McCaughan and Laura Ballance (both in Superchunk) on last week’s show.

The interview goes back to how Merge started in our backyards 20 years ago. They discuss the Triangle’s continuously booming music scene as well band’s that have released albums on Merge including Lambchop, The Magnetic Fields, Neutral Milk Hotel, Spoon and more. It’s definitely worth a listen. The interview starts 8 minutes 30 seconds into the show.
