Starmount CD Release party tonight at Marsh Woodwinds

We brought news of Starmounts upcoming debut, so now we follow up with news of their CD Release party tonight at Marsh Woodwinds.  Independent Weekly’s Spencer Griffith said that “Raleigh’s Starmount plies atmospheric instrumentals, with…Brian Donohoe and…Dave Pitts providing a steadfast rhythm section that guides the explorations of Rob Davis’ glossy synth and Greg Elkins’ otherworldly pedal steel.”  Those words only begin to scratch the surface of the atmosphere Starmount creates through their compostitions.  Starmount celebrates the release of their debut album, Tyranny of the Sphere, with a special show tonight, Friday, October 30th at Marsh Woodwinds.  The evening will get under way at 8pm with a much anticipated set from C Hilton and Tomas Phillips. A $10 donation will be rewarded with a copy of Tyranny of the Sphere and entry to the show.  Consider a $5 donation if you’ve already grabbed a copy of this interstellar gem (or jam, if you’d like).

Marsh Woodwinds is located at 707 N Person Street, right down the block from Krispy Kreme.

To hear the strange and wonderful sounds of Starmount before you make the trip out tonight, go to Starmount’s page at Superfan’s website.
