Two years ago, two guys interested in fashion moved from Miami Beach, Florida to Raleigh, North Carolina.  West Martin Street hasn’t been the same since.  Glenn May and Walter Pereira decided to open up a consignment store focusing on high end clothing but casual attitude and chose 307 W. Martin Street as their location.  In the beginning the space was empty but after two years, it has amassed a plethora of art, clothes, furniture and various “stuff”, rightly deserving its name.  It is about as friendly of a shop as one will find downtown, from their golden retriever Guido jumping off the couch and greeting you at the door to the fact that in the summer months the garage door and front door are both wide open.  This brings about a front porch atmosphere and is very inviting.  A caged bird can even be heard singing daily when walking by the storefront.  With clothing ranging from Versaci to Gucci to Calvin Klein, Stuff is a higher end consignment shop but maintains the casual attitude and collage appearance.

They have hosted at least 4 parties, including Walter’s birthday party, a grand opening party and a first anniversary party.  Thursday November 15th will be the next to make room for more stuff and host their 2 Year Anniversary Sale from 7:30pm-until…..

Stuff Consignment is now a downtown staple, one of the few retail shops that can say this, and is helping West Martin Street once again become a culture magnet.  And with 10-50% off all items, a stop in is guaranteed to produce a good deal.

Glad to see this post on Stuff.  It’s a great shop…the best place to buy second-hand/consignment clothes in the Triangle.    Very good value here.
