The Swell Season Returning to Perform at NCMA
Almost exactly two years after performing at Meymandi Hall in 2008, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (aka The Swell Season) will return to Raleigh on their Spring tour to perform at the North Carolina Museum of Art on May 21st. The Oscar winning duo released their second album as The Swell Season, Strict Joy, in October of 2009. Listen to Strict Joy here.
Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday at 11am.

I saw them the last time they were here and they put on a fantastic show. It was actually like three shows in one, as they both did solo stuff, they did their Swell Season stuff - and he did a lot of his Frames stuff. (I guess it was four shows in one.) She was really under-the-weather, even bringing her cup of tea out on stage with her. But she didn’t let up one bit.
