Taste of India on Salisbury Street in Downtown Raleigh is now back open after being closed for over a month. The restaurant will still offer free delivery, a Monday buffet deal and have a few new items on their menu.

Anyone know of they have a online website? I have searched and did not get any hits. I would love to check out the new menu.
Then eat there.
Hey JRD.
I was hoping to get them to deliver, but would like to read a menu first
Anyone know if they have any vegan/vegetarian items on their menu?
Yes, they have vegan/vegetarian items. I used to go there often and just tried it again today. It seems the Pizza guys below (next to Subway) have taken it over. So now they offer pizza and Indian fare, what a strange combination. But considering the other patrons, the Indian buffet is the only thing people are ordering. It’s cheaper now only $6.53 for the buffet and water. The also have baba ganouj (sp?) and hummus and tabouli. So it’s a strange mix, but pretty good for a quick no hassel lunch. I miss the condiments though, I didn’t see that green basil sauce or any of that indian hot sauce.

Its Indian food, of course there are vegetarian options….
It’s back in name only. New owners. Terrible food. They have pizza, cheesecake, hummus. The Indian food isn’t great. There are no Indian condiments: no raita, no chutney, no spicy pickle. The Naan tastes like pizza dough. The veggie option was like a pile of mixed frozen vegetables with some curry mix from a jar. I won’t be going back again. What a loss for downtown Raleigh. I’m devastated. OK, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but only a little. But it was definitely the worst meal I’ve had in a while.
Is this the same as A Taste Of India which was in Cary and user to rent out part of Sylvia’s Pizza a bunch of years ago? If so, this is amazing food and I’ll definitely go there.
