Terry Anderson & The OAK Team CD Release Party
This Friday, March 13th, Terry Anderson and the Olympic Ass-Kickin Team kick off their new album, National Champions, at the Pour House along with Chip Robinson and the Heavy Beat Outfit. At only $7, this is a great chance to see two hometown bands off as they tour to Austin and SxSW next week.
I have only heard one song, Pow’Ful ‘Merka, from National Champions and have embedded it below for your listening pleasure. As expected, it is chock full of catchy hooks and quirky lyrics, falling in line with their established library of colorful songs, such as the whimsical drinking anthem Feel A Drunk Comin’ On and the boisterous Gityoassupda Road. You can grab a copy of National Champions at the show or pre-order through Raleigh record label Doublenaught Records, which has signed other hometown rock bands such as The Cartridge Family, The T’s, and The Bleeding Hearts.
