Today's possible 104 degree heat has unfortunately been almost the norm for Raleigh over the past few weeks. Newsweek's The Daily Beast has caught onto our heatwave and ranked Raleigh the third hottest city in the country so far this Summer, falling only behind the Midwest cities of Lubbock, TX and Oklahoma City, OK. Raleigh has managed 54 hotter than normal days since June 1st and we are definitely feeling the heat. Let's hope we get a reprieve from the heat in the coming weeks but considering August is typically our hottest month, there's probably no letting up anytime soon.
Today, could also break a heat record at RDU, according to WRAL.
