Rebus Works: Opening Reception for Head in the Clouds by Cynthia Rohrer and Thu Tran for First Friday from 6-10 p.m. Music by the Loners and Skullbuckle outside. Beer tasting by Big Boss Brewery. More information and images at http://www.rebusworks.us

Also: SparkCon preview at Design Box. A new media video show at the Body Shop. Oblivion, the stark installation at ArtSpace. The installation is comprised of cast figures and found objects. Through this installation Doktorski aims to explore the struggle suffered from displacement and abrupt life changes.

The bargains continue at Reposition beside The Times Bar had a great opening last week and is guaranteed to have a good showing again this week.

Revolver boutique has reopened on Glenwood south at 124 Glenwood Ave. Tonight they will be open for First Friday and showing Brandi Bowen jewelery designs.  Stop by to see the new space and Bowen’s work. Facebook Event

If you are feeling chic there is a 9 pm screening of 2007 fashionSPARK at Mosquito. Surely the fashion elite will come out to the slick lounge and show their support.
