A big First Friday with some great openings across town and two art events.

Artist Greg Linquist returns to Raleigh to curate a at Flanders: After Destiny: The Contemporary American Destiny is both beautiful and cerebral as Linquist brings together some exciting work in painting, mixed media and photography.

Down the street, Designbox will host Deneé Black in a show called pro-duce big colorful paintings inspired by the farmers-market. CAM will be open and offering the new Rebecca Ward show along probably your last chance to see the Dan Steinhilber's massive plastic pieces before they come down later this month.

Rebus Works will host Anthony Ulinski and Friends a group show of local painters interrelated through work and art. Morning Times has a rich black and white photography show from artist Holdern Richards.

ArtSpace will host two openings, illustration by Jenny Eggleston and photography by Alison Overton

Also don't forget the LoveBug Draw Off at Epona and Oak and the Opening of the Baloon Boys' piece on the side of the Wake County Parking Garage.
