As many may know, The Latta House, a historic structure in the Oberlin Village area burned down just over a year ago. Since the anniversary of the fire, The Latta House Foundation has continued to spread the word about the history of the building and Oberlin Village. The Raleigh City Museum currently has a small exhibition space devoted to historical pieces of The Latta House. It is also a part of their Higher Education exhibition at the back of the museum. As well, the foundation continues to participate in community outreach and needs the help of volunteers two weekends in march to distribute door placards that compile historical facts of Oberlin Village.
