For those of you smart enough not to be wasting away too much time in the virtual rumor land that is Twitter, you may not have seen all the speculation surrounding the opening act for Phoenix tomorrow night at Koka Booth.

It seems that Two Door Cinema Club will not open the show as reported (thankfully) and Koka Booth has been looking for a local opener for the show. The Love Language has been tapped for the spot and the band will open for Phoenix tomorrow night at Koka Booth in Cary and we assume Saturday night in Charlotte.

The Love Language will surely play a handful of their new songs from their beautiful upcoming sophomore album Libraries. The album will be released on July 13 on Merge Records.

Show starts at 7:30pm and doors are at 6:30pm. Hopefully the sound will be just slightly better than shitty for these two great bands.

Dear god I hope they actually pump out some volume for the show. I’ll definitely complain vociferously if they don’t. This is going to be my son’s first official rock concert.

The Love Language instead of 2DCC opening? I’m not impressed. 2DCC + Phoenix would’ve been epic.

    They were actually quite good.

The sound for the concert was good too. I think Koka Booth actually listened to the criticism leveled at them.
