The National are returning to Raleigh and this time they are moving up to a much bigger venue. The band will play Memorial Auditorium in downtown Raleigh on Monday, October 4. Opening the show is Canadian composer, multi-instrumentalist and singer Owen Pallett, also known as Final Fantasy. The National have played Raleigh (Lincoln, Walnut Creek) and the Triangle (Cradle) a few times in the past few years, stopping through on almost every tour.
Both bands released two of the better albums of the first half of 2010. The National released High Violet in May and Owen Pallett’s Heartland in January. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 5th at 10am.

Memorial Auditorium The National Owen Pallett
Just saw them at Sasquatch…they are at the top of their game!
long gone are the days of bumming smokes off the bass player out front of the cat’s cradle. i’m thrilled that they are doing so well but i miss the intimacy!
I’ll be staying up super late that night, picking apples and making pies! They were excellent when they played The National in Richmond as well.
