We only know a little about the business but know that a new store called The Raleigh Wine Shop will be moving into the former Lee Hansley Gallery space on the corner of Glenwood and Jones (same building as Revolver Consignment and Mosaic. While Seaboard Wine is close to downtown, Raleigh Wine Shop will be even closer to the action. The shop should be open in early 2011 and we’ll keep you up to date when we know more information.
Also, opening soon just up the street in the 222 Glenwood building are two chain restaurants; Tutti Fruiti Frozen Yogurt and Zaky Mediterranean Restaurant.

Great to know. Guess I can move my wine shopping downtown, too. @DowntownRaleigh posted this pic yesterday about the rooftop Carolina Ale House: http://bit.ly/eznVX5
I hate to judge by an architectural rendering, but I can’t figure out whether that proposed Carolina Ale House looks more like an interstate motel or small-town airport, complete with control tower.
Where exactly is the Carolina Ale House going to sit? The NE corner?
Yes, NE corner (just across from Sullivans)

Has something prevent folks from patronizing Seaboard Wine so far? Call me crazy, but I consider Seaboard Station to be Downtown ![]()
