The Return of Santa Duck

Nothing says Merry Christmas like an ad for upscale Asian cuisine. The Duck and Dumpling logo donning a Santa hat returned to its home yesterday, beaming over top the Mechanics & Farmers Bank in downtown Raleigh at the intersection of Wilmington and Hargett Street. The Santa Duck projection replaces the Shepard Fairy Obama projection that began in mid-October. The Duck & Dumpling will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day, so if you have a holiday hankering for Chinese or Vietnamese, you’ll have to take your chances elsewhere.

Seems weird to advertise the logo with a santa hat when they were closed for Christmas.  I did patronize my local Chinese place on Christmas day, it did not disappoint!

Thank jebus, Comrade Obama was getting a little oppressive.

I always thought this was a great alternative form of advertising; although, I think many people are not aware what the “duck” stands for?
