The Rosebuds Announce Remix Album and Cover Salt & Pepa

image
Local rockers and SXSW praised band The Rosebuds will be rocking Cats Cradle tomorrow night for one of their final shows in the area until the Fall.  The word is they will be recording between that time.  But that doesn’t mean that Raleigh will have to wait until the fall for new Rosebuds music.  The band announced today that a remix album called “We Need Our Friends, Everywhere” will surface soon.  It will be available free on their website.  No word yet on who will remix the tracks.  Maybe Frank Black will return the favor or the dinner request.

We hope to see you there!

Also! Very, very soon, we are going to be giving you guys and the rest of the internet world a new NIGHT OF THE FURIES remix album called “We Need Our Friends, Everywhere.“ There will soon be a link where you can download the record for free posted somewhere around here and our own website ( http://www.therosebuds.com) So keep your eyes and ears open.

The band was tight, but then again, how tough is that when there are only three of you playing fairly simple but catchy melodies? While the “chanting” was good for crowd participation, it was a little overdone. Seriously, it seemed half of every song consisted of “whoas” and “ahs” where as even straight-forward catchy lyrics could carry so much more meaning. Just an opinion… best of luck to the band on the rest of their tour.
