The Rosebuds Live on KEXP

Local rockers The Rosebuds appeared live in KEXP’s Seattle studio for their third time back in November. The audio is now available to stream or download. Ivan and Kelly, along with two traveling band members played four songs for KEXP and talked with their host about Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, open letters to Frank Black and what it means to record at home. There was a lot of giggling involved and many of the songs performed had a bit harder edge, guitar-wise, than on the album.

The Raleigh, NC, husband and wife duo return to the less dance-oriented sound of their earlier work with their 2008 release “Life Like.” The Rosebuds bring their slightly chilly pop tracks to KEXP for a live set and even enlist some of our staff for a rousing rendition of “Nice Fox.” Recorded 11/20/2008 - 4 songs: Life Like, Cape Fear, Border Guards, Nice Fox
