Great photo.  Couldn’t help but notice that some things never change - the ‘Pack was already down 21 points in the third quarter.  Assume the folks on the hill were looking up at a Clemson FG to add to their lead.

Truly awesome picture.I followed the link to the photographer’s site. He has some really nice looking photographs on there, but then again he has some real lame looking shit as well. I guess you can’t win them all. Such is life.

Is this the Simon, the British guy who graduated from NCSU about 25 years ago and worked at Mitch’s Tavern?
    Good football game photo.

Based on the site, the score, and the way folks are dressed, this has to be the 1982 game.  That’s Clemson kicking the extra point.  The Pack scored twice late, but lost the game 38-29.
In contrast to the rank state of Pack football today, State had actually gone 5-2 against Clemson in Carter-Finley Stadium at the time this photo was snapped (soon to be 5-3).

The fans standing on the hill would establish position to catch the extra points or field goals as if they were going for a rebound.  The photograph was taken when the ball was at it’s highest point.
    1982 I think is correct.

Yes…I worked at Mitch’s for a short time.

And Mr Jones, constructive criticism is always appreciated.
