Did you miss the pre-Thanksgiving Christmas Parade in Downtown Raleigh this past Saturday? Well, if so, you definitely missed a cold morning full of the most grandiose floats in recent (Raleigh) history, including a giant inflatable toilet by the Public Works of the City of Raleigh.

Christmas Grayson Currin Christmas Parade
I laughed when I saw this, and thought it a clever way for the Public Works department to show us what they do
I also found it amusing, and a bit odd, that the WRAL news folk didn’t even say a word about the toilet… Uhh… hello - there’s a giant toilet in a parade! Say something!
This is actually the Public UTILITIES department. ![]()
This pretty much sums up the Raleigh Christmas parade-vulgar, tasteless floats and “marching bands.” I’ve seen enough 300 lb women in sequinned outfits and preschool banners with mispelled words to last me a life time.
b-fuss needs her bottle. She’s gettin’ fussy…..
That’s kind of cool.
Yo, B, you misspelled “misspelled” and “sequined.” Will you be in the parade next year?
And “life time” was shortened to one word about 100 years ago, I believe.
I approve of the Tarheel blue of the banner on the throne. That’s nice.
