The Snap: Masonic Temple

Built in 1907-1909, the Masonic Temple building was technically North Carolina’s first skyscraper by using reinforced steel and concrete. This photograph was captured using a tilt-shift lens, which is what gives it the miniature model appearance.

The snap is a weekly original photography feature published by New Raleigh.  If you have a photo that you’d like to be considered for The Snap, email it to snap@newraleigh.com.  Photo must be from Raleigh and no longer than 1000 pixels on the longest side.  Please include photographer’s name and a caption.
