“Four letter word just to get me along”....That was the first line of one of the biggest indie-pop anthems of Summer 2008, That’s Not My Name by The Ting Tings. The English two piece will bring their disco-funk-laced rock to Lincoln Theatre on Sunday October 26th. I hope she figures out her name by then. But probably not, as this may be the only song they will be known for in the distant future.
Nevertheless, The Ting Tings have been nominated for lots of awards, in the US and abroad, and should be on a fun show. And if you don’t know the song I’m referring to, just watch the video below…..it may shed a little light or just freak you out a bit.
