The honky “supergroup” Tonk made their official debut a month ago at Cooke Street Carnival. The day was cold but the music was nice and warm. The crowd seemed to love the new/old kids in town and have been demanding more. One show was announced on Sunday January 24th at 8pm at The Pour House with Benji Hughes and now another Tonk show has surfaced.
On Friday November 20th, Tonk will play one of the newest venues in Raleigh to see live shows, Marsh Woodwinds. The shop is on Person Street and only holds around 85 people so you’ll have to get there early to get a seat (standing position). Past shows have seen folks being turned away at the door and this one will probably have the same issue. It’s also BYOB so pack your Budweisers and head on up to see Tonk kick up some honk.
Next up for Tonk…..Young’s Mountain Music? Please guys, please.
