Troy Mezze Lounge Turkish Restaurant Now Open in City Market

Troy Mezze Lounge is the newest restaurant to try out the spot on Blake Street in City Market that has rolled through multiple restaurants over the past few years. The restuarant had a soft opening this week and was fully operational by the time we stopped by on Friday. Troy Mezze serves a large selection of Turkish food ranging from feta cheese pastries, to lamb and beef dumpling to lentii soup, hummus, kabobs and more. The food is quite good and the prices average from $4-5 for small plates to $10-15 for large entrees. There is a full bar with four beers on tap and the restaurant regularly has drink specials. 

Although they are obviously still working out the initial opening week kinks, the crew seem to have their act together and are delivering great food with an unassuming atmosphere. The space is great for a business (or casual) lunch, a first date, or drinks and a night out with the girls. Troy Mezze looks to have the grand opening next week with a band, appetizers and more. The restaurant is definitely a welcome addition to City Market and hopefully they'll stick around the area, unlike a few previous restaurants in this spot. Both Troy Mezze and the newly opened Benelux Cafe, a few doors down, add much needed quality options to the City Market dining scene. 

Troy Mezze Lounge is open every day from 11:30am to 2am.
