If you follow @NewRaleigh on Twitter then this event may be for you. TweetUps are popular meetups based around the common use of Twitter and the Twestival is a Tweetup on steroids. Twestival is a world-wide fundraiser and Twitter meetup. Thursday night folks in Raleigh and 175 other cities will come together to shoot the breeze and raise money for developing nations that don’t have access to water. The event will run from 7 to 9 and there will be a raffle and auction for services from a variety of local web services- including giving away some free advertising on New Raleigh. It’s all happening at Edge Office on Glenwood South. Get your tickets and more information on the Raleigh Twestival website or by following @RalTwestival.
Raleigh Twestival, a local charity event is part of a global effort on February 12 to raise money and awareness for charity:water. Our unifying mission is to bring clean water to the 1.1 billion people in the world who don’t have access to it.
