Verses Jeans on NPR, Sample Sale on Thursday (Audio Added)

verses jeans

It has been almost a year since New Raleigh first mentioned Victor Lytvinenko’s Verses Jeans.  Versus is a line of jeans handmade right here in Raleigh by Lytvinenko and his supporting designers.  The jeans are crafted from limited lines of designer dinem often coming from Raleigh’s Tumbling Colors a die company that works with high end brands across the world. In that year, the jeans have gone from concept prototype to full production lines being sold in LA and New York.

Wednesday Lytvinenko and Co. will be appearing on WUNC’s The State of Things.  We look forward to hearing what the folks say about making jeans in their Raleigh factory.

Thursday North Hill’s NV will host Verses for its first local Sample Sale.  From 5:30-7:30 stop by NV to check out Verses line at special prices for Raleigh residents. There will be a sake tasting and locals get a chance to get a pair of Verses while you still look like a trendsetter.

Sarah Yarborough and Victor Lytvinenko started Verses Jeans in their Raleigh apartment last year. They’ve since moved into a warehouse near downtown and are shipping jeans to several stores across the county, and even one in the Philippines. The denim, zippers and almost everything else that goes into a pair of pants comes from North Carolina. They join Frank Stasio to talk about their business and their lofty goals to revive North Carolina’s garment industry.
