Wicked Wheels of the East Tournament

In less than two weeks, the Carolina Rollergirls roller derby league will bring the WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament here to Raleigh, at Dorton Arena. The three day tournament event starting on Friday, September 11th and going through Sunday, September 13th, will host the top ten teams from all over the east coast for a full weekend of hard-hitting games. Teams from Philadelphia, Baltimore, Carolina, Boston and others will take on one another, as well as the undefeated National Champs, the Gotham Girls Roller Derby from New York City. Make sure not to miss the showdown between Carolina and the Boston Derby Dames Friday at 8 pm. As Carolina won their last two games against Boston by less than 5 points, Boston is guaranteed to be looking to seek revenge.

Single day passes are $20 and weekend passes will be $50, giving fans access to the 15 games and various after-parties scheduled at locations around downtown each night. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to Wicked Wheels of the East.
