As we mentioned a few weeks ago, Wilmoore Cafe on Wilmington Street quietly opened their doors this week serving coffee, tea, sandwiches and more to the downtown (day) crowd. Currently, their hours are only from 7am - 5pm but we were told that "in due time" the cafe will open for night hours.

The food looks great, with sandwiches made from a great selection of local breads (La Farm), meats (Ashley Farms), veggies and more. Wilmoore uses Carrboro Coffee Company for their beans and the lattes are quite tasty.

Check out their Facebook Page for more info.

They’re using a La Marzocco GB/5 if you’re interested in knowing that kind of thing.

Tried the Willmoore sandwich and their mushroom soup.

    Both were delicious.

I just had lunch from Wilmoore. I had the chicken panini. It was an exceptionally good sandwich.
