Anyone know of other good Raleigh locations for watching the games?
I’ve watched it at that Sports Bar on Avent Ferry. Sammy’s, I think. They have a disturbing amount of HD tvs inside, and proximity to NCSU means lots of countries get fan representation.
Tobacco Road on Glenwood South will be showing all the games.
Does anyone know of any places/bars that will be opening early for the 10 am games?
@Jeff: I am pretty sure that The Oxford is opening for early games. I think that I even read that they will have free coffee. Check into it.
Tobacco Road is doing a food special for England v USA. If the US win (and they could, in truth), Tobacco Road will comp your food, provided you’re there from kick-off to final whistle.
The Independent Weekly is co-sponsoring a series of films, England vs. USA watching parties and other events with the Carolina RailHawks professional soccer team, the Galaxy Cinema, Tir na Nog, Bull McCabe in Durham and Italian Pizzeria 3 in Chapel Hill.
We’re also giving away gift certificates to Eurosport at these events and at our ESPN bracket challenge site:

Napper Tandy’s On West Street in Glenwood south is showing all the games.
...but I am going to watch all the games at home. I want to have a few beers and do not want to have to worry about driving after having beer. A friend of mine got busted recently for dui so it has got me scared.
The Carolina RailHawks are also teaming up with BackYard Bistro for a USA/England World Cup Viewing Party.
Does anyone know if the games will be replayed at any Raleigh bars later at night?
Almost every pub / bar is having special early hour viewings, and food drink specials. I am a member of the Triangle EPL (English Premier League) Meetup group….and we will be having a MASSIVE crowd at the Hibernian on Glenwood on Sat June 12th for the England vs USA match….come out, get wild, and support the US. Bavarian Brathaus in Cary will be hosting Germany’s matches….Tir Na Nog has a great WC schedule…..Trali in North Raleigh is hosting all matches….....FINALLY…..REAL FOOTBALL HAS TAKEN HOLD IN CAROLINA!
