Zely & Ritz Four Course Summer Cocktail Dinner


Chef Sarig and libation specialist Jay Early have crafted the perfect combinations of summer drinks and summer fresh dishes for a fun-filled and relaxing eveing this Wednesday at 7:00pm.  Call (919) 828-0018 for reservations.

Starter/Reception

The Coon Rock Cocktail
Spirit: Hendricks Gin, Ayrshire, Scotland
A refreshing highball with Cucumber juice, Mint, Fresh Lime & Club Soda

1st Course

The Midnight Special
Spirit: Jr. Johnson’s Midnight Moonshine, Madison, NC -Local Peaches & a Lavender Reduction with a splash of Lemon Juice served in a petite Martini Glass
Beef Carpaccio with Local Peaches, Lemon Olive Oil, Swiss Chard, Kohlrabi & finished with Lavender Syrup

2nd Course

Meyer’s Cup No. 1
Spirit: Meyer’s Rum, Jamaica -Our Twist on the Famous Pimms No.1 Cup (since we can’t get it here in NC!) with Cilantro, Mint, Cucumber & Tamarind Soda
Grilled Squid over a Bed of Romaine Lettuce & Cucumber with Mint & Cilantro Oil

3rd Course

Jay’s Aquavit
Spirit: Everclear, St. Louis, MS-Also unavailable in NC is this traditional Scandinavian Spirit. We recreate it here using pure grain alcohol, Caraway, Black Pepper and some surprises!
Salmon with House Pickled Cabbage & Roasted Potatoes with a Pickled Scallion, Ramp & Black Pepper Sauce

4th Course

The Illiano Family’s Limoncello
Spirit: Everclear, St. Louis, MS-In Italy every family has their own recipe. This is the family that started Jay on his path in the restaurant business; he washed A LOT of dishes to learn this recipe.
Lemon Verbena & Lemon Curd with Home Made Biscotti

$65 per person $49 per person without spirits (tax & gratuities not included)

    I have been to one of their cocktail dinners before and it was a great great evening.  Will try to make this one.
