Shimmer Wall Update

As we announced last week, the Shimmer Wall at the Raleigh Convention Center in Downtown Raleigh has started installation.  Almost a week later and the pace has picked up on the construction of one of the largest public art projects in the area and we have photos and video below the fold.

Convention Center Shimmer Wall Installation Begins

Installation started today on the Raleigh Convention Center’s Shimmer Wall. Six panels so far on the first bay with many to come.  79,464 aluminum ‘pixels’ will compose this 9,000+ s.f. LED backlit art installation wall. Click through for more.

Triangle Modernist Houses held its inaugural Modernist Mini-Tour on May 17th in Durham. The tour featured three houses designed by three of North Carolina’s prominent modernist architects.
