fashionSpark Fashion Show Review

fashionSpark’s fashion show has always been the biggest event of sparkCon.  This year’s lineup included established local designers and newcomers alike in what was a flashy affair drawing a big crowd to the Moore Square outdoor stage.  While the third annual event was a shorter, more streamlined affair,  it showcased the most professional set of local designers ever collected in the Raleigh area.

Tonight a special opening at the Block Gallery, the modern lobby of the municipal building.  The curator Sarah Blackmon, is very excited about the show.  “The exhibition looks really great—the work is phenomenal.“

Visual Art Exchange Unveils New Works, Prepares for groundSPARK

The Visual Art Exchange, a non-profit gallery in Moore Square, debuted its latest exhibit, N.E.W. (Never Exhibited Work), to unprecedented crowds last Friday as Hurricane Hanna descended on Raleigh.
