Cloud Chamber @ North Carolina Museum of Art NCMA

Tucked back into the woods off the Reedy Creek Greenway is the NCMA’s Cloud Chamber for the Trees and Sky by Chris Drury, a British artist who has completed commissioned works all over the world. The Cloud Chamber is a camera obscura device that projects the sky and trees onto the interior surface of this small grotto-like structure. The Cloud Chamber on New Raleigh.

This month’s First Friday has a nice variety of offerings.  From Pro/Con’s poignant offering at Rebus works (with Scott Goner performing), to Art Space’s silent auction preview, there is plenty to see.  Also exciting is VAE’s Found Object/ Graffiti Show, and Lump’s exhibition of Canadian artist Jason de Haan. Design Box hosts a show of young artists inspired by Bob Rankin. And Flanders 311 has a gorgeous show of Lori Esposito’s paintings (shown above).
