On Friday and Saturday night, September 12 and 13, Paperhand Puppet Intervention will perform their latest puppet drama at 7:00 at the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Last year I saw the Triangle’s very own Paperhand Puppet Intervention at Chapel Hill’s Forest Theater. Moved by the fluid content and amazed by the scale of the puppets, I saw the same show again when it came to the NC Museum of Art.

Fall always marks the resurgence of the local art scene and tonight’s First Friday, on top of Raleigh Wide Open, is sure not to disappoint.

FashionSpark is one of the biggest, most well attended parts of SparkCon.  Raleigh’s fashion scene struts its stuff and it is always a highlight of the conference.  Leading up to the main event you can help fund the fashion show by attending a brunch this Sunday morning at Poole’s.  Also, starting tonight check out the window displays around the city, showcasing some of the designers from the show.

It has been a while since we have seen a good marketing video in the Raleigh area.  A couple have tried but missed by a mile.  But with the new animated video for the Frank Harmon designed AIA Headquarters, a simple and nicely crafted product has been created.

Across McDowell from the Shimmer wall tonight at 8:45, Mayor Meeker and the CEO of Cree will light the shimmer wall up, officially.  Even though we covered it last week with pictures, Cree has to get their 1,000,000 s worth of press so tonight is the private government ceremony.  Here’s hoping they get a big Frankenstein style switch.
