Wolf Parade Coming to Raleigh’s Disco Rodeo
Disco Rodeo is one of the lesser known venues in Raleigh over the past few years. But, it has been the venue that has brought the biggest rock n roll acts to town, including Interpol, Pixies, and Flaming Lips, to name a few. While it’s hard to compare Wolf Parade to any of these bands, they are sure to sell out the space.

Cherry Modern Furniture Closing
Sad news for the modernists in our audience (and staff). GoGoRaleigh brings us word that Cherry is closing. Cherry was the only dealer of brands like Alessi, Knoll, Cassina, Kartell, and Blue Dot between Washington DC and Atlanta. Louis Cherry, a local architect and his wife Ann Marie Baum opened the store, originally on Glenwood Avenue, then moved to Cameron Village last spring.

Raleigh isn’t the most bike friendly place but that has never stopped the area’s forward thinkers from using this alternative transit. Hold My Hand - Darius Rucker Endorses Latta House
Remember Hootie and the Blowfish? I’m sure you do. They were a huge hit in the early to mid 90s and were from South Carolina, therefore they got a lot of air play in our area (and even “made an appearance” at the last Great Cover Up at King’s). It seems that The Blowfish are still touring and lead singer Darius Rucker is now on the Country Music scene writing and recorded for various artists. Rucker has also just recently decided to support The Latta House Foundation with a Public Service Announcement.
