North Carolina had 700,000 more voters than it did in 2004. Kay Hagan, Beverly Perdue, and Barack Obama all look to succeed in the Tar Heel State and Obama won Wake County 57%-42%.

On the final day of her tightly contested race with incumbent Elizabeth Dole, Kay Hagan dropped by polls in Raleigh today, thanking supporters who worked in the rain while greeting voters.
