The presidential candidates are making their rounds through North Carolina as the November election gets closer. Obama has made his share of appearances at rallies and local bars in Raleigh, Ralph Nader will hold a rally this Saturday, John McCain has yet to be spotted in the triangle, and where’s Mr. Bob Barr?

The May 6th Democratic Primary left one state-wide race too close to call and has resulted in a run-off today, June 24th.

The Commander and Chief will be making a visit to a lowly North Hills neighborhood Friday afternoon.  John Kane, the North Hills Mall developer, is hosting the afternoon party in an effort to build financial support for gubernatorial candidate Pat McCrory.  Not one to miss out on the action, the President will make an appearance to campaign for the candidate.  Kane, an ardent Republican supporter, has previously hosted fundraising events for Senator Dole and given contributions to City Council Candidate Jessie Taliaferro.
