Second Saturday: Fun at the Fair at the Raleigh City Museum

The State Fair comes to Raleigh every October and has been a part of our city’s history for over 100 years. Learn about how the fair began as a way for farmers to display and sell their crops and animals. Even though the fair has changed a lot over time, we still enjoy seeing all the animals and tasty food farmers bring to the fair. Kids will solve State Fair riddles, create paper plate pumpkins, and families can check out our reading corner featuring books about the fall and farming.
