3 THE HARD WAY: What happens when you bring together a graffiti artist from the streets of Philly, a cartoonist born and bred in the South, and a French / Puerto Rican mixed media/collage painter to collaborate on an artistic project?

THERE WILL ALSO BE A PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION BY LISA KING FROM OCTAVE BLUE, AND A SPECIAL PREVIEW OF “3 THE HARD WAY” DOCUMENTARY BY ROBERT KING ALSO FROM OCTAVE BLUE, ABOUT THE CREATIVE PROCESS OF THE LAST 10 MONTHS.

EXHIBITION PREMISE: Over the last ten months Sean Kernick, Paul Friedrich and Georges Le Chevallier have worked in partnership to create 14 new canvases and 15 drawings. The concept behind the show goes like this: Each artist will start will three to six pieces. The medium and materials is of the artists choosing. Once all the works have been prepared and painted on, there will be an exchange and each artist will trade out his works for a set of the two other artists. They will have almost two months to work on those works and then another exchange will occur. It will be interesting to see how three artists, with completely different backgrounds, processes and styles come together to create a finished painting. An added element will be a documentary crew consisting of Robert and Lisa King from Octave Blue who will be filming the entire process.
