Those of you who have been to Tough Love, the clothing boutique just to the Cary side of Nice Price and Cup A Joe, know it’s the best, most accessible thing happening for women’s fashion in Raleigh right now.
Ashley Reynolds, the store’s owner, is clearly savvy to what’s going on nationally and globally (though forced to keep in mind that Raleigh taste tends to fall on the more conservative trend of things), and her selection is supplemented by a keen personal discretion.
Her store is a delight to step foot in, and what she doesn’t import she gets from local Raleigh designers like miscusi. All local designs are handmade, and many of them are one of a kind.
The clothes are of great quality and surprisingly affordable. I bought a v-neck t-shirt there months ago for $12 and still wear it multiple times a week.
There’s a new shipment in for a whimsical, storybook spring from Dear Creatures (pictured above). Check it out at Tough Love: 3114 Hillsborough St. (on the right after Nice Price and Cup A Joe if you’re coming from N.C. State).
