Our next stop finds us in Lawrence, Kansas. This wasn’t on our original list of places to go, but while in Omaha, Megafaun suggested we join them in Kansas. They were playing a show there and promised us it would be worth it. They were even planning an epic post-show cookout for us, with beer, beards, and bratwurst.
We could hear adventure calling. So we followed…
Reasons why we love Omaha:
- It’s the home of Saddle Creek Records, founded by Conor Oberst. The result: a city with a serious appreciation for good music.
- Bowerbirds & Megafaun, two incredible bands both hailing from Raleigh, are playing a show here.
Next stop of our phototour: the glorious metropolis of Chicago. Home of the Bean and the best falafel sandwiches on the planet. We were excited, to say the least.
Starting at 7:30 AM in Raleigh, and ending at 2:53 AM in Indianapolis.
The drive was only supposed to be eight hours… piece of cake. We had all intentions of arriving in Indy in the early evening, with plenty of time to go catch fellow Raleigh compadres Bowerbirds and Megafaun, both on national tours and playing a show in Indianapolis that night. However, the night ends up turning out quite differently.
So here we are at the Atlantic Ocean. We thought it would be fun to start the phototour here. This way, the tour will be 100% from coast-to-coast.
The Well Done Tour is traveling from Raleigh to San Francisco this summer. Once in a while they are checking in with New Raleigh to share what they have been up to.
