The food is good but Global Street Food? Having the word ‘street’ next to the word ‘food’ on your menu seems like bad marketing. The service was mediocre and not very knowledgable. It is the ‘hip new spot’ but the honeymoon phase in Raleigh is getting shorter. The city is growing and with it, peoples expectations and standards. A manager visited our table but was more interested in telling us he was an owner than asking how our experience was. The look is urban chic but it felt stuffy. Street food(not really) served on doilies by a guy in a sportcoat? Can you say identity crisis? And all the pleasantries felt forced and disingenuous. Maybe they will sort it out before the next new hip spot opens.

I recently had dinner here with a large group and while our food came out quickly, it was extremely disappointing. Out waitress

Now that the State has banned smoking indoors this location has really started to shine. Great coffee and baked goods. Fast service.

Cup A Joe has the best coffee in town by far. Fast service. Even if I’m running late to work I know I can still get my Cup A Joe and get to work on time.

Fresh, Fast, and tasts great.

Waraji is my ‘neighbourhood’ sushi bar - they know my name, my favourites, and are always willing to tempt me with something off the menu. Love this place!

sushi was fresh & delicious… definitely going back.

Great beer, ok food, beautiful view.  This place has quickly become a Raleigh landmark.  A must visit for any one who wants to have the best of Raleigh beer culture.

Ilove their food. Great combinations with the sandwiches and even the breakfast. Smoked gouda grits! Love the spicey turkey sandwich and the hot ham sandwich. The salsa and chips as a side is a nice change.

I have been going here for 10 years. They have the best vietnamese and Chinese food. The Dalat and Spring Rolls are the best and the egg drop soup is yummy! The decor lacks but the food is king!

The food is fantastic! So good!

I will start off by saying Chef Tony did an amazing job with the salmon last night! “WOW” I will also go as far to say the wait staff is very confidant and on top of everything. I have eaten at Gravy numerous times with great experiences except for last night. I sat at a round top table. Started with a Caesar salad followed by one of the two specials for the night, the salmon picatta (please do try! DELECTABLE) and ended the meal with tiramisu. As I sat there two bites into the tiramisu in walks an enormous group. Now it is about eight o’clock. This group starts heading to the bar ordering drinks. Meanwhile the group continues to grow filling the better portion of the front quarter of the restaurant. Still eating the last course of my meal and drinking the coffee I had ordered, a woman hung her purse on one of the chairs at my table. Following this action my server walked up to my table to see how everything was going, the woman turn towards me and proceeded to ask me if it would be alright if she hung her coat on my chair! I tell her absolutely not. My server apologized to me about the situation. I started back into my tiramisu, frustrated at the fact I go out to a reputable restaurant and I suddenly feel like its turning into Chuck-E-Cheese! Not even wanting to finish my dessert the manager (MC) walks up to the table. “Excuse me sir, I understand there was a little situation at this table. I apologize BUT I’M GLAD IT WAS YOU AND NOT SOMEONE ELSE!!!!” I respond to her mere remark by saying “My table is not an F*ing coat closet!” She proceeds to walk away. The server comes back to the table with my check and once more apologizes for the scene that had happened. I told her thank you and soon left the restaurant. With all this said,if the manager(MC) would have been on top of her restaurant, she would have had the downstairs prepared for this “reservation” of such a large magnitude, given the restaurant is relatively small.
I do recommend this restaurant to everyone that reads this, the wait staff and Chef Tony are incredible! I do however think MC is an embarrassment to the entire Empire Eats corporation.

I got engaged at The Mint. The service was wonderful (their presentation was perfect). The food was incredible and locally grown. The decor was very posh. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

Yummy sushi. A bit pricey, but great for a date night. The front of the restaurant is a bar and lounge where you can watch the game. The back of the restaurant quiet and secluded, perfect for getting to know someone over sashimi and sake.

Yummy sandwiches and wonderful smiling service. They also have a pristine white upstairs with tables by the windows and comfy couches. And if you’re an artist, make sure you leave your mark on their bulletin board in the back!

The outdoor seating and location will draw you in. The pizza will make your mouth water (they have fantastic salads, too!). They also have a cute little bar at the back that’s perfect for unwinding after work. Get The Cow Over The Moon.

By far the best burgers in town. Great location and outdoor seating.

I hung out (hang out) at this establishment every Wednesday throughout college (we called/call it H.A.M.). The atmosphere is awesome. There are creepy paintings of children everywhere that will stare at you until you finish your 5th beer. You can watch the game in a relaxed atmosphere without fist-pumping frat packs screaming over your conversation. The drink specials rock. The chili is awesome. And Bull Durham was filmed there.

The fish tank reminds me of PeeWee Herman’s Playhouse, and the decor reminds me of Tim Burton meets Saved By The Bell, but the food is phenomenal and the service is impeccable. Take your date here to impress her/him.

This place is fantastic, and the people that work there are super nice! $2 for a healthy frozen treat. You can’t go wrong.
