I love Locopops! The best thing ever is a mojito pop after a bike ride on a hot summer day. Delish!
I used to live near Lynnwood Grill and really enjoy their food. Their pizzas are creative and quite delicious. My favorite is the Thespian. Lynnwood is also the first place I’d ever had pickle chips and I was hooked after that! They offer specials on certain nights and also have live music. Definitely a good place for a casual night.
I’ve only been to Abyssinia once, but can’t want to bring friends to this well-hidden surprise. My experience at Abyssinia was the first time I had ever tried Ethiopian food. We got a combo platter and the food was delicious. The ambience was pretty lackluster, especially considering that the place was just about empty when we arrived. I didn’t know what to expect of the food, but we were pleasantly surprised.
So far, I have only been to Poole’s for brunch, but have been several times. The food is absolutely wonderful. I’ve tried several different dishes on the ever-changing menu and have not be disappointed (even when my “favorites” were not available). I understand how some can be annoyed by the chalkboard menus, but when a restaurant’s menu changes often, it seems like a reasonable solution to try to have new menus printed constantly.
I love Poole’s and am thankful it’s walking distance from home.
While I haven’t been to every sushi restaurant in Raleigh, I’ve been to several, and Waraji is by far my favorite. The food is always fresh and wonderful. Whereas at some other local sushi places you will pay a premium on lackster food just so you can dine in some kind of trendy atmosphere, Waraji delivers quality food at a good value.
Friends and I tried El Rodeo for the first time a few weeks ago. The food was good and they even put up with us being a little drunker than we had planned by the time we decided it was probably time to eat dinner. Pretty standard Mexican fare, not the best but definitely pretty good.
