This weekend at Kings is lined up with great local bands and various celebrations.
Annuals and What Laura Says play Harris Field on Wednesday, for free. UPDATE: Annuals have canceled and What Laura Says will headline with Bright Young Things opening.
‘Music in the Gardens’ series in Duke Gardens kicks off this Wednesday with a local favorite, the Annuals.
Flying Tiger Sound, the Annual’s label, Terpsikhore, and WKNC team up to make something special.
Annuals and New Raleigh love you. That’s why we are giving away 2 tickets to tonight’s show at Lincoln Theatre. Click here to register, the winner will be called at 5pm tonight. The giveaway is closed. Congrats to Ty Beddingfield. See you guys at the show.
The fourth album from The Rosebuds, Life Like, and the second from Annuals, Such Fun, are both in stores today so go get a copy at Schoolkids Records. mp3s below the fold
Now that Annuals have braved Hanna and made it through the Raleigh Wide Open Festivities, they can get back to promoting their upcoming album, Such Fun, which comes out on October 7th.
Just a couple of weeks before headlining the Cherry Bounce stage at Raleigh Wide Open and a over a month before their Sophmore album, Such Fun, is released, Annuals are teasing us with one track from the album.
Annuals are becoming a daily thing around these parts. It seems we haven’t been able to go a week without mentioning a new album, a date at Raleigh Wide Open, a new album from their alter ego, and now a full US tour with Minus the Bear including a stop at Lincoln Theatre in Downtown Raleigh.
Annuals are heating up for a busy fall in the capital city. First they will be playing Raleigh Wide Open 3 on the Cherry Bounce Alternative stage on September 6th and just a month later on October 7th, they will be releasing their sophomore albums, Such Fun. Hmmm, that date looks familiar.
Raleigh rockers Annuals have an excellent new EP called Wet Zoo (actually a split disc with their alter ego Sunfold) and will be traveling back through the Triangle on June 21 at The Artscenter in Carrboro to play songs from it. Somehow, tickets are still available but if they sell out, you have a chance to win two tickets to the show as well as a year-long (annual?) Artscenter membership via a new Annuals contest.
At the end of our conversation with Mike Robinson from Annuals in January, he mentioned an upcoming show that was being staged in the Raleigh area between them and their alter-ego Sedona. Sedona has changed their name to Sunfold and plan to release their first album in six years, a split between them and Annuals, who capped off WKNC’s Double Barrel Benefit in grand fashion. Lonnie Walker and I Was Totally Destroying It are also on the bill. The show is Friday at The Brewery and will definitely sell out so get there early, it should be a rocking night. Tonight, Paleface plays Tir Na Nog which should be a great show, especially since it is free!
