By now everyone has heard that downtown Raleigh’s newest restaurant, Gravy, has opened right next door to Sitti in the former Riviera location. And you probably already know that it’s a partnership between the owners of Bella Monica and Greg Hatem’s Empire Eats. So I won’t bore you with the details. But have you been yet? I recently ventured inside for lunch and was not at all surprised to find friendly service and quality food. Despite the minor delay in opening, Gravy is definitely off to a good start and promises to become another downtown favorite. You can read my full review below the fold.
The wait is over for the much anticipated collaboration between Empire Eats and Neomonde. Sitti opens this Monday. The space has a wonderful familial feel to it as the walls are lined with photographs of both side’s Lebanese family members, one of the most poignant being a painted portrait of Greg Hatem’s grandmother.
