Tear Down This Monument?
Most Raleighites are familiar with the City of Oaks’ most infamous statue, the Confederate Monument on Union Square. Even short time visitors are likely to be greeted by the towering Confederate soldiers guarding the State Capitol, provided they spend any time downtown. More below the fold.
Midtown Harvest Run at North Hills
On October 18th at 9am a 5K Fun Run and Kid’s Dash benefiting the American Diabetes Association takes place at North Hills Mall. Register by Friday the 10th and its only 18$. Come out and run in a beautiful part of town for a good cause. More information and registration.
