The Taste of Downtown Raleigh takes places on Tuesday, May 19 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and includes a reception and tour of several newly-renovated properties on Fayetteville Street. Participating restaurants will offer “buy one, get one free” entrées immediately thereafter. Aviator Brewing Company owner Mark Doble learned his craft while playing around - as he puts it - on his family’s equipment at the Tampa Bay Brewing Company in Ybor City, Florida. As mentioned yesterday, there was a convergence of two large crowds at the corner of Hargett and Wilmington Streets after the election was announced for Obama. This was not the first time this election season saw a bit of energy in downtown Raleigh.
